Day of the Best Bones Forever campaign launch in 2009 in Las Vegas!

Today, October 20th, is World and Michigan Osteoporosis Day!! Last May 31st I had the honor of standing on the floor of the House of Representatives at the Michigan State Capital, in Lansing, to see a resolution passed to recognize the importance of osteoporosis awareness and prevention here in our beautiful state! I sent a proposal to Rep Vicky Barnett eight months earlier requesting her assistance to achieve this goal!! Together we did it!! What a day of victory for the people of Michigan and for me personally!

I am honored to be invited by the Genysis Credit Union to participate in the Halloween Hoopla event set for tomorrow night in Macomb Twp! Genysis sponsored this event and it is always well attended and alot of fun! I can't wait! I will be wearing my *skele- girl* costume and greeting over approximately 700 people at this event! This will be my largest event to date!! I will be distributing "Best Bones Forever!" information to them in leiu of candy! I love that my skekgirl outift works with the theme of Halloween! Wearing my crown and sash as well always brings questions about the pageant competition and I get to speak about and network for the Miss America Organization (MAO) and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH)!! What an awesome and yet humbling position I have been put in to serve the people of Michigan!! I love my job as Miss Lady of the Lakes and as a national spokesperson for Best Bones Forever!! <3

Having the opportunity to be a part of the Dr Pepper/Snapple Tailgating dance team for the second year in a row was fabulous!! I had a blast meeting all of the new titleholders and it was an honor to work with one of our biggest sponsors of the Miss Michigan Organization!! Dr Pepper actually let us keep all of the money raised through the raffle tickets to go towards our Miss Michigan scholarship fund! How nice is that?!! It was great to give back our skills and services to Dr Pepper since they do so much for our program! Thank you Dr Pepper/Snapple group for everything you do for us!!

Detroit's Most Photogenic Babies 2011!!!

All of the money raised for this event went directly to Beaumont Hospitals in Michigan for the Childrens Miracle Network Hospitals!!

She was so cute!!! She won a ton of awards for her photos!! Such a doll!!

Now let me tell you, names are not easy!! So diverse and unique which is great until I have to try and attempt to pronounce them!! Haha!!

Loved this little girl!! She was so shy and so I told her my story about when I grew up I was just as shy as her! I broke out of my shell and had grown through all of my experiences and worked hard for my dreams! With perseverance I was blessed to be successful in what I love to do! It really cheered her up to know someone else was just like her when they were her age!!

The overall winner!! She was so excited and her pictures were stunning!!

One of the sisters called me 'Miss America' and wanted to talk to me! They were so sweet and it warmed my heart with joy that I could ever be compared to such a successful and perfect role model!

For the second year in a row I had the opportunity to be the emcee for the Detroit's Most Photogenic Babies 2011! This event is a fundraiser that donates all of its proceeds to Beaumonts Children Hospital which is partnered with the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH)!! They had raised $9,000 for this event!! What an honor for me to be a part of it! It's great to see that even though we may be in a tight economic world, we can still give what we can to those who need it most!!
All of the kids adorable and loved receiving their trophies!! This has always been a fun event and I'm happy to say that I have already been invited to emcee the event again next year for the third year in a row!! :)

It was such an honor to have received the title of Miss Lady of the Lakes 2012!! The staff is absolutely outstanding and I can't wait to walk this new path to the Miss Michigan pageant next June!! Knowing that I have the opportunity to go back for the second year in a row is truly surreal and humbling! I know that this is going to be a great year and I can't wait to see how I will grow through it!

Congratulations to all of the ladies who competed this year! You were all beautiful! You all hold a special place in my heart and I really do consider you my sisters!!
